In its calm considered manner, the statement on the figure is very precise. It addresses the topic of integration аnd identity in equal measure. It unsettles and that is sufficient. In all my works I seek to explore the possibilities of sculpture. I have represented the woman smaller than life size, rather than vesting her with gigantic dimensions. By casting her gaze into the distance I endeavoured to forge an open situation. My work should always be viewed in relation to the history of art. Here, of course, I was alluding to Delacroix´ harem paintings or Ingres’ ”The Turkish Bath“.

Ona podjednako progovara o temi integracije i identiteta. Time sam želeo da stvorim otvorenu situaciju.
