Threadwork, 2008-2012, group of objects on the table, artificial leather (filament filaments, 20 knives), 90х120х70 cm

The work consists of a typical dining table, covered with an artificial leather fur (material made of butcher’s keel) with 20 knives. The arrangement of the knives on the table and the interrupted atmosphere also define the location and position of the absent body that participated in this infinite winding/unwinding process. The ambivalence of form and relationship makes us unable to determine the direction of the process: whether the blades are detecting and returning to their purpose or the abolition of the function of the blade. There is no correct answer. The function of the object and its use value are suppressed for the benefit of a pure aesthetic experience.
