Disputed histories, 2012, photocopies and digital prints

The paper deals directly with the problem of writing and teaching history in elementary and secondary schools in the former Yugoslavia. An already fictitious overview of textbooks shows that texts and interpretations of historical facts in each of the newly emerging countries are different from those taught by the previous generations less than two decades ago, when a history that was never in question was in effect. Work is an installation that resembles a classroom. Observers are given the opportunity to see a large number of old and current textbooks for primary and secondary schools, which the artist systematically collects for years.
